Weaving to build a better future

In 2006 Abbey explored Guatemala in Central America and fell in love with the people she met and the places she visited. She learned about the Mayan people.

As a child Abbey had a tiny box of worry dolls that she loved. But one day, after buying a handwoven apron from a women’s co-operative near the city of Antigua… Abbey found a worry doll bookmark in the bottom of one of the apron pockets!

You can read more about the fantastic co-operative here.
